Andy and Alyssa met in January 2023 on a fancy little app called Hinge. True to form, our first conversations involved light hearted banter around serial killers and vehicular manslaughter (obviously). Naturally, that kind of chemistry led to a first date at The Thin Man — a beloved Denver dive bar with strong drinks and oddly Jesus-themed décor.

It was love at first sight… for one of us. For the other, it took until the third date — when Andy’s backwards ice skating skills and heart-melting compliments (like “I like your face”) had Alyssa absolutely swooning.

So much so, in fact, that in a bold act of romance and bravery, she tried sushi for the very first time. Determined to prove how adventurous she was, she went with something daring and exotic… a salmon roll. What Andy didn’t know? Alyssa hates seafood — and she never said a word. True love means swallowing your pride… and raw fish...

That night, we stayed up talking until the sun came up — and basically never stopped. Alyssa texted her friend Rachel something along the lines of “😳🥺🤯😵‍💫🤩😍" and the rest, as they say, is history.
